I began my working life as a teacher and for over 20 years taught in adult, secondary and primary education. I developed a health problem which Western Medicine failed to alleviate. A friend suggested I try acupuncture. After a few treatments, I noticed a subtle change in my health and began to feel much better. Over time my health problem completely disappeared. I had found acupuncture so beneficial, not just in eradicating my problem but in areas of relaxation and well being that I decided to study this ancient form of medicine for myself. I haven't looked back since! I received my BA Hons degree in Traditional Acupuncture from Oxford Brookes University and Licentiate in Acupuncture from the College of Traditional Acupuncture near Warwick. As a member of the British Acupuncture Council, I follow their Code of Safe Practice and Professional Conduct and am covered by full Professional and Public Liability Insurance.
I am also a fully trained Practitioner of EFT and Matrix Reimprinting. I regard Continuing Professional Development (CPD) as a very important aspect of my work and enjoy updating and enhancing my skills by attending courses, workshops and study days and by research.
